# GraphiQL explorer

GraphiQL in your browser over the schema the simulator serves, with each query run against the simulator.

The explorer lets you read the schema and try a query or mutation by hand before your agent sends it. Open `$RYSTIC_URL/_rystic/graphiql` in a browser:

```bash
curl -s -o /dev/null -w '%{http_code}\n' "$RYSTIC_URL/_rystic/graphiql"
# -> 200
```

The explorer is GraphiQL over Linear's schema trimmed to the queries and mutations the simulator serves, so a field it hides is one the simulator would refuse. The explorer sends no key of its own, so a first query answers 401 until you open the Headers pane under the query editor and enter `{"Authorization": "lin_placeholder"}`. Each query you run then goes to `POST /graphql` on the simulator, lands in its state and takes the next id and the simulator's clock. The state UI at `$RYSTIC_URL/_rystic/ui` links to the explorer from its header.
